International study visit of 23 high-level Taiwanese Experts to Germany

In June 2017 a delegation of 23 high-level public service experts from Taiwan visited Berlin and Potsdam on an international study tour organised by dbb akademie GmbH in cooperation with BAKöV.

This study tour provided the delegation with in-depth information on:

  • The structure of the German Public Service
  • Self-government of local authorities in Germany
  • Leadership and performance assessment
  • Learning and development in the civil service as a means to foster innovation
  • The policy planning process with concrete examples
  • Crisis management and risk management
  • Strategic management in the public administration
  • eGovernment solutions
  • Environmental policy in Germany and update on G7 activities in environmental policy
  • A smart city – energy efficiency, construction and mobility with hands-on visit in Berlin
  • Internal security policies also in light of the December 2016 attack in Berlin
  • Change management
  • Community-sponsored agriculture in Germany
